You don't need to prepare anything for your first lesson, and you don't need to bring anything except a positive attitude! No experience is required; we teach complete beginners every week. In your first lesson we will have a conversation about your goals, followed by a few exercises to help you establish some of the basics. You will leave with two or three tips to point you in the right direction. More advanced students are welcome to bring repertoire they have previously studied as an example of what they have been working on.
